The injection molding mold exhaust port should be set near the welding position, the final filling position, the middle of the flow passage, etc. In practice, it is also used to determine the detailed location after a trial production. It should be noted that the deeper the exhaust port, the better the discharge efficiency of air and gas will be, but there may be burrs on the molding product. Should be based on the plastic material and the surface temperature of the cavity, etc.
When injection molding is done, the tar components and deposits produced by the plastic will adhere to the vent, so it needs to be cleaned regularly every 2 weeks to 1 month or so. The point is that the other end of the vent is connected to a deeper vent. It should be a channel with a depth of about 0.2 ~ 0.5mm that allows air and gas to vent into the atmosphere from the side and back plate of the formwork.
There is air in the cavity space of the injection mold. During injection molding, the cavity space is filled with molten plastic, in other words, the process can be described as using molten plastic instead of air. On the other hand, if the volatile components and gases produced by the molten plastic can also be expelled from the inside of the cavity to the outside, the quality of the finished product can be improved.
If air can be effectively expelled from the inside of the injection molding mold cavity to the outside, the resistance to filling can be reduced, which can keep the filling pressure low and ultimately reduce the residual stress in the molded product. In addition, the core pin can be prevented from damage due to filling pressure.
