In the high-end manufacturing of aerospace, the PEEK injection molds for aircraft interior components not only need to meet extreme temperature and mechanical performance requirements, but also must pass strict airworthiness and material certifications. The melting temperature of PEEK material reaches as high as 343℃. It has a narrow processing window and high viscosity, and is extremely sensitive to the thermal management and exhaust design of the molds. For PEEK injection molds used in aircraft interior components, Fanstar adopts a high-temperature hot runner system with a temperature resistance of 400℃, combined with an oil temperature machine to achieve stable mold temperature control (170–200℃); vacuum-assisted exhaust channels are integrated at the parting surface, inserts, and ejector pins, effectively eliminating surface marks, burning, and internal stress; the mold body is made of high-purity stainless steel (such as 420 or modified S136), which undergoes special heat treatment and mirror polishing (Ra ≤ 0.2μm), ensuring smooth demolding, corrosion resistance, and a service life of over 300,000 mold cycles.
